You're not alone.
Many of these ideas run counter to our culture--not to mention our religious beliefs--so it can feel scary to consider them. Here's a recommended reading list of works by astute, well-studied authors who explore themes of sex positivity in a non-threatening way:
Beyond Orgasm: Dare to Be Honest About the Sex You Really Want by Marty Kein
Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd. (Though this book is not directly about sex positivity, it explores the journey of Sue Monk Kidd--author of other well-known books such as The Secret Life of Bees--as she moves from a Southern conservative religious background and explores feminine psychology and spirituality.)
And They Felt No Shame: Christians Reclaim Their Sexuality by Joan Ohanneson
The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities by Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt
The Language of Sex Positivity, online article by Charlie Glickman
